在SOHU上看到的,英文不难,就是O'Sullivan 中国之行已成定局,一定会出现在中国公开赛上。
World Snooker Limited has confirmed that Ronnie O'Sullivan will take part in the 2005 China Open scheduled from March 27 to April 3 in Beijing Haidian Gymnasium.
O'Sullivan, the current world No 1, said he might not compete in the China Open during the just-ended Rileys Club Masters in Wembley Conference Centre where he defeated John Higgins in the final to win the title.
"Ronnie will definitely come to China," said Simon Leach, tournament director of World Snooker China. "All the top players are looking forward to the tournament in China."
O'Sullivan's coming will complete a star-studded roster which includes all of the world top 16. The top 16 qualify automatically and will be joined on the plane to the Chinese capital by 16 qualifiers.
There will also be a wild card round at the event featuring some of the leading Chinese and Asian players. The host team received 13 cards while another three go to Thailand, Middle East and India.
The Chinese team will be spearheaded by the 17-year-old prodigy Ding Junhui from Shanghai who entered the last 8 of Wembley tournament where he was stopped by eventual winner O'Sullivan in the quarter-finals. |
